We just received this notice. The APA community lost a dear friend this past December. Dr. Norma Maderazo and her husband Dr. Eufronio (Yoy) Maderazo, both physicians, had lived in Manchester, CT until their relocation to Nevada. Norma and Yoy were steadfast supporters of APA efforts and were frequent attendees at functions, including holding events in their home.
Norma B Maderazo, age 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Norma was born in The Philippines to Isidro Baer and Sophia Villanueva.
After completing medical school in The Philippines Norma moved to the United States where she had a very successful career. She was an amazing doctor and chief of anesthesia at the University of Connecticut.
Norma loved to travel, and was always busy planning her next trip- often to see family or to visit important religious locations. After beating breast cancer, Norma focused on enjoying her life. She remained close to many of the friends she made in medical school and loved to socialize.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Eufronio Maderazo; sons Alan and Alex; daughter Alicia; and many extended family members and friends.
