2004. On May 5, 2004, Nina F. Elgo became the first Asian American appointed as a Superior Court judge.
2005.
2006. The first major state-wide APA organizing event is held June 2, 2006. Call to Asian Action.
2006. The Connecticut Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) is founded. Founders: Angela Rola, Bill Howe, George Jeong, and Saud Anwar
2006. William Tong became the first Asian American elected to any state office in Connecticut history.
2007. Feb. 22, 2007. 1st. Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2008. The Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC) was created by an act of the Connecticut General Assembly.
2008. APAC receives official status as a 501(c)(3) Non Profit organization
2009. Jan. 25, 2009. 2nd Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2010. Tues, Feb. 23, 2010. 3rd Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building. Year of the Tiger
2010. March 6, 2010. Luau Dinner Dance and Fashion Show Fundraising at the Double Tree Hotel in Norwalk, CT.
2010. May. The Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC) officially began its work.  Elected acting officers: Jack Hasegawa‐ Acting Chair, M.Angela Rola‐ActingVice‐Chair, William Howe‐Acting Secretary, and Richard S.Cho‐Acting Treasurer.  
2010. May 1, 2010. 3rd Annual APAC Gala held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell, CT.
2010. Nakul M. Havnurkar was hired as the Legislative Analyst for the new Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC). This was the first hire.
2011. May 14, 2011. 4th Annual APAC Gala held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell, CT.
2012. Feb. 12, 2012. 5th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building. Year of the Dragon.
2012. April 26, 2012. 5th Annual APAC Gala held at the Holiday Inn, North Haven, CT.
2013. Feb. 6, 2013. 7th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building. Year of the Snake.
2013. April 27, 2013. 6th Annual APAC Gala held at the Crowne Plaza, Cromwell, CT.
2014. Feb. 6, 2014. 8th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.

2015. Feb. 19, 2015. 9th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2015. May 2, 2015. 8th Annual APAC Gala held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cromwell, CT. Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Highlighting Asian Pacific Americans in the United States Armed Forces and Public Service with Keynote Speaker: Colonel Richard S. K. Young, M.D., M.P.H.; Dr. William Howe honored for his Public Service in Multicultural Education.
2015. May 4, 2015. 2nd Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration – held at Manchester Community College. Leadership Awards to Angela Rola, Albert Kim and Than Soe Aye. Manchester Community College
2016. Feb. 3, 2016. 10th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2016. May 14, 2016, 9th Annual APAC Gala held at DoubleTree Hotel in Bristol, CT. Keynote Speaker: Chai-lun Yueh -Baritone and Member of National Association of Teachers of Singing, USA ; Guest Speaker: Schlund-Vials, Director of the Asian and Asian American Studies Institute at UConn
2016. July 1, 2016, the Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (APAAC) stopped existence as a standalone entity. Under Senate Bill 502 (https://www.cga.ct.gov/…/2016PA-00003-R00SB-00502SS1-PA…), APAAC was consolidated into a new legislative Commission on Equity and Opportunity (CE&O), which also includes the commissions on Latino and Black American communities.
2017. Jan. 25, 2027, 11th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2017. May 13, 2017, 10th Annual APAC Gala held at DoubleTree Hotel in Bristol, CT. Keynote Speaker & Honoree: Carolyn Ikari, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Connecticut.
2017. Judge Nina F. Elgo became the first Asian Pacific American judge appointed to the Connecticut Appellate Court on May 25, 2017.
2018. Feb. 15, 2018. 12th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration held at the Legislative Office Building.
2018. May 5, 2018. 11th Annual APAC Gala held at DoubleTree Hotel in Bristol, CT. Keynote Speaker & Honoree: Dr. Bruce T. Liang, Dean of the UConn Medical School.
2019. William Tong took office on January 9, 2019, as the first Asian Pacific-American attorney general and constitutional officer elected statewide in Connecticut’s history. He was the first Chinese American to be elected Attorney General nationwide.
2019. Wed. Jan. 20, 2019. The Annual Lunar New Year Celebration was canceled due to inclement weather.
